What I'm Reading Monday - Another book filled week!

I have no idea how but I had another crazy reading week!  I was finishing books left and right.  I don't know how long I can keep this up but I like it!

The first grouping of books I read were the latest three issues of Fairest.  I have no idea why it wouldn't let me make them side by side, but anyway.  I love the Fables books, but these are a little bit of a tease since they are so short and you don't get to read the whole story non-stop like the trades.  Yes, I am so spoiled thanks to Jon.  So far the only Princess being focused on is Briar Rose.  I just got the 5th issue so I should be checking that out soon.

I managed to finish Bloodsucking Fiends fairly quickly.  I absolutely loved it.  Like I mentioned last week I loved the readers voice and how she voiced each of the characters.  I enjoyed the personalities of the characters included in the book and could not wait for it to end.  Luckily Kellee did me a solid, and gave me the other two books last week. :)

Soooo, I am about 1/3 of the way through You Suck.  Again I love the reader.  But I don't like how the beginning and end of each CD has weird music.  Aside from that I am totally enjoying this story just as much as the first one.  It continues with Jody and Tommy and I like how they are using pretty much all of the characters from the first book and I can't wait to see how this one turns out.  Oh and making a trip to Tampa this weekend certainly helped me move my way through it.

I finally finished Undercover in High Heels.  I ended up really really liking it.  It had an ending that I was not really expecting and it made me like the characters even more.  I decided that I might at well start the next in the series (since I bought them all on my iphone).

So far I like it very much.  Several of the unknowns from the previous books in regards to the main characters relationships have been discussed.  I am not very far in, but I have an idea of where all of the drama will take place.  It's Paris (and no, I don't think that is a spoiler).  OMG, I want to go there so badly.  This will be the second book in two months that has partly taken place in Paris.

Alrighty, if I go now I might be able to get a few pages in before I have to head to bed...

Sweet reading :)
Oh and P.S. Happy Birthday to Shaena!!!

What I'm Reading Monday - Love me some Vamps

Boy.  Did last week go by super crazy ridiculously fast for anyone else?  It was halfway through before I even blinked and then here I am and it's Monday!  I was productive this week though.

1) Called and complained to the apartment office far too many times for them to finally do what I needed them to do on Friday.
2) I did some updating to the blog because I figured out how to add widgets!  I know have a Follow me on Pinterest link, a counter to show how far along I am on my Goodreads 2012 reading challenge, and a visual of what books I am currently reading.  Super cool right?!
3) I sewed up a huge cute something for a friend that I got to see on Sunday night.  I will share that one (and all of the drama associated with it later).
4) Finally was able to vacuum since the above mentioned apartment drama was almost over.
5) Oh and I finished a few books. :)

First one I finished, Darth Paper.  I knew immediately when I started it that I didn't really like it.  It grew on me a little bit because since I started it I wanted to finish it.  Overall, you can seriously tell this was written for a younger audience.  If you have a teen and they love Star Wars they would enjoy this book.  I realized a third of the way through that this was a sequel to another book but you didn't really need to have read the first book to understand what was going on in this one.  Also listening to the book I found that this is probably a book better suited to be actually read via the paperbook.

The second one I finished was the first issue of Fairest.  Now, I have had this issue since pretty much the day is came out... months and months ago.  As you can tell I am a bit behind.  I was a little disappointed because it starts off the story with a male character but I can tell that it is going to be just as good as the Fables comic.

I stayed up a bit late on 3rd of July to finish Lola and the Boy Next Door.  I have to say that I really really liked it up to the very end.  Now, I don't want to ruin it for anyone who has not read it but I just don't feel the ending was right.  I believe the true ending was foreshadowed but not chosen.  I did like it overall though.  I just fast-forwarded in their time and imagined my (better) ending for it.

I am still chugging along on Undercover in High Heels.  I am getting to the really good part where you don't want to put it down.  I can't wait to find out who the killer is!!

The next audiobook that I started was Bloodsucking Fiends by Christopher Moore.  And. I. Love. It.  I love the reader and I love how the story is written.  I am so happy that I have all three in the series.  I will be able to go right from one to the other to the final one!

I am thinking about catching up on the three other issues of Fairest that I have... might make Jon feel better for buying them individually for me versus waiting for the trade... :)

Can't believe it's Monday, but have a good one!!

What I've been reading

So I am a bad blogger.  I didn't post yesterday.  I might have to redo my schedule to pick a different topic for Mondays or I just have to make sure I set up my posts during the weekend.

I apologize.  I will try to organize myself better.

For today I have a quick little review of a graphic novel series I have been reading.  The series I am reading is Fables.  It is a series is about all of our favorite fairy tale and fable characters.  There are fables characters living in New York City having escaped from their Homelands to get away from the unidentified Adversary.  Such good stuff!!  I just started this one today.  It is the 10th book of the Fables Series and delving deeper into the conflicts between the Fables and the Homeland.

I have to thank my bf for buying me the first one and getting me hooked.

There is a new series that focuses on the girls of the fairy tale and fable world!!!  Fairest follows the girls around and focuses on their own stories.  The first book in the series focuses on Briar Rose.  I have not yet read it because I haven't gotten to Fables #107... I am at #60 and can't decide if I should wait to read it until I get to #107 or if I don't want to be patient and read it now and possibly clue myself into something that I shouldn't "know" yet.  Gaaahhh!!!

So to sum up:  I was a sucky blogger yesterday but I have a new plan in place and you should read Fables.

Oh and I love when I get comments on the posts I make!  It makes me believe that there really are people out there reading my blog!!
